I do not see any difference in the push feed or controlled round action when the round is chambered and bolt locked that would give one an advantage.

RE: Kimber Montana in 7 WSM
I own the gun that oldelkhunter posted the target pics of. Still do, obviously! Those were my first six shots out of that gun at 100 yards. Had 3 Federal 140 NBT's left, used one for bore sighting, adjusted the scope, and the next two touched. Next three were Federal 140 NAB's and they were touching. (I stocked up on those - Midway closed them out at $14.19/box and I bought 20). I didn't do the shoot/clean regiment to "break in" the barrel as others do. This gun has YET to shoot over a 1" group at 100 yards, even when shooting three shots in a row about 1 minute apart.
I've also got an 8400 Classic in 7WSM that is less than 1 MOA shooter consistently. Actually did 10 shots into less than 2". The bolt on that is smoother than the pre-64's I've got. Both guns wear Talley LW rings/bases and Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x36 scopes. So count me solidly in the Kimber camp, and FWIW I don't think you could go wrong with a Montana in 7WSM.
