Default Gun Value Question?

My buddy is looking to sell a Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag 12 ga with a 24" barrel, in mossy oak cammo. The gun has had less than 10 boxes of shell through it. It shows a little wear from hunting, but very little. Comes with only the choke in the gun. It's just been sitting in his safeafter several other shotgun purchases. What would be a fair price to ask for the gun?

Thanks Bryan

Probably $250ish. I have 2 835's and paid $240 and $295 nib. Although the fully camoed guns are slightly more.

Most mossbergs lose their value relatively quick compared to other guns because the resale value just isnt there. Id say you should be able to get 200.00-200.50 in excellent condition, 175.00-200.00 in Good condition.

I tell ya what i might have someone interested in that gun Colorado. You let me know what you'll be selling it for or your buddy is selling it for. I've got a 500 right now and i really like the 835's , the ulti-magcan shoot the 3.5 correct?

I agree with the above. Just too many of these available at the chain stores (Walmart, Dick's, etc) to have much used market. Not a high priced model to begin with so figure in the use and yeah, you're down in the $250 range depending on your local area.
