RE: thompson center icon
We finally got a few in our shop. I have to say that I like this rifle a lot. It is a heavier rifle but the fit and finish is well done.
The stock has very nice wood on it, it is a Ultra Walnut stock from S&K gunstocks. The bolt operates very smoothly although being a bit bulky, the trigger is excelent for a factory rifle, andI like the idea of the integrated Weaver style bases machined into the top of the receiver.
My only grype about this rifle is the plastic magazine.

but if I did buy an Icon I would have heavy metal playing behind my treestand as I raise the mighty Icon to my shoulder and kill the buck of my dreams...
