Default 30 cal Ruger

What type of game animals could you hunt with a Ruger Blackhawk 30 cal carbine handgun W/8 in barrel. And in what state. Thankyou

Personally I wouldn' t shoot anything bigger than a coyote with it and then only at close range. It just doesn' t have the energy needed for deer in my opinion. As for what state, you will have to check your local regs.

One thing I might add. Make sure you wear hearing protection. They are loud mothers.

jerseyhunter, I wouldn' t recommend it for hogs. If you can get close enough and place the shot right behind the ear it should be enough. I suggest though make sure of your shot and have a tree close by for your escape route in case you screw up. LOL. A friend has shot probably well over a 100 hogs at his uncles big cattle ranch in SW Florida. 99% of the time he used a Model 94 22mag.We' ve butchered several using a 22 short. Use your own judgement.

you could take them behind the ear with it. id probably reccomend a fmj for that. though id go for something with more umph
