Default New Gun/Caliber Suggestion

I am looking to get a good Big Game caliber. Something that I can hunt anything on NA with.. Currently have 22-250,243,6mm,7mm08, 308 and 444 Marlin.. But want something between the 308 and 444. As you can tell I like the short action bullets.. Just because I like shorter rifles. Never been a fan of Long Action or Mag rounds, because of the longer barrells, but could be persuaded to buy another barrell for the Encoreas even a 24" barrell on an Encore is still an overall short rifle..

Thoughts/suggestions?

If you want a caliber between the 308 and the 444 either the325 WSM or35 Whelen would get you enough power in a shorter rifle for anything in NA.

I have yet to see bolt actions with shorter than 23" inch barrells for long action/mag calibers.. Add the longer action of say a 30-06 and you get an extra inch to the total length of the gun.. Considering my other barrells lenght range from 16.5 to 20.. A 23 or 24" is starting to get Looooonnnnng
