What is the length of an empty cartridge case for this new round?

The reason I ask is because in Alberta you are not allowed to hunt big game with a round if it' s " empty cartridge case" is less than 1.75 inches (44 mm) in length. {a law that has been on the books for a very long time}

I have heard that the .243 SSM is shorter and if it is I will begin to lobby to have that regulation changed.

I don' t know the length of the case;but why not try to get it changed anyway??
any lay forbidden any hunting round should be changed. we have enough rules and regulations now.
a short case now,a longer one later.

The .223, and .243 WSSM cases are 1.67" . Good luck.
