Trigger options for Ruger M77 MKII

I'm looking for trigger options for my Ruger M77 .223. I've had it for years but I've only taken a shine to it here lately. I know you can get a gunsmith to do some work to it but how effective is that? I've been looking at after-market triggers and it seems I have a few choices. Timney seems to be everyone's favorite. Anyone have any experience with the others? Dayton?

Here's a link to some of the options I have.

Timney has done a great job on my rifles. I havenever felt the need to try the others.

Three rifles I had the Timney trigger installed and two just polished the sear and put in a lighter spring . Both ways seems to work fine for me . 3 lb for the Timneys and about 3.5 lb with the spring and polish

If your looking for a after market get a Timneys for sure. If you want a trigger job done on your existing trigger group I do them for $35 plus shippingcost. I won't go under a 1.5lb on any rifle(safety reason). So if your looking for a bench shooter go with a timney after market.

This may help you. I have used it on several of my Ruger rifles and am happy with it.

Timney or Rifle BAsix although I once had a CAnjar trigger on a tang safety 77 that was really sweet. Good Luck

Is it a tang safety or 3-position??? My tang safety Ruger with the stock trigger is set at 2 1/2 pounds...I understand the 3-positions are a bit tougher to work over though...
