Default Should I Snake Skin the barrel???

Now I have another decision to make!

I was planning on getting the barrel with a Snake Skin finish. Now I'm thinking that it might look better not to do the snake skin, just a bead blast finish and then blacken the flutes on the barrel and the flutes on the bolt.

What do ya guys think? I think both would look good...

I think I've decided on scraping the snake skin (although I do like it) and just going with the bead blasted barrel with the blackend flutes.

Yes polished thenbead blasted....nozzle strictly held to 90 degrees from the work piece, and back a little bit. If the beads get under the mesh you're screwed.

http://www.mcmaster.com/ has the mesh, do a search for "cylinder protective mesh".............
