Model 70 Classic barrel on CZ 550 action?

I got that .375 H&H Christensen barrel yesterday. It is threaded for a Model 70 Classic action. Since the 70's are really hard to find, I was wondering if a CZ550 action would work?

It will work fine-all you have to do is get your gunsmith to recut threads and rechamber it to the cz action.

I don't know what CZ's threads are but you may have to remove the entire threaded section of the barrel and rethread the barrel to fit the 70 action. If youdoneed to do thisthe carbon barrel will not have enough steel to do this.

If it is for the classic and not the pre 64 then you should have no trouble finding a doner rifle.

There is zip as far as barrel shank with that barrel maybe 1/2" . There should be no problem finding a classic model 70 action otherwise you don't have a lot of leeway . Also has the extractor cutout already been done on that barrel?

A bare action seems kinda hard to find. I'm gonna call Winchester directly and see if they will sell one. But, the CZ's can be bought from Midway.

Yes, the extractor cut has already been made.

YOu should be able to pickup a magnum action easily for 6-700 and part the gun out . I know of a NIB not sure if the owner has it listed on Gunbroker yet but he was looking at 7 for the entire gun
