i just traded for a brand new winchester model 70 7MM wsm. with a simmons blazer 6x24x50 AO bore sighter scope will trade or sell without scope if you want im looking for a smaller caliber gun like .270,30-06, .280,.260 etc. for deer hunting the gun i have has the synthetic stock with the matte black finish a super all weather gun . need at least $500 for complete gun and scope, face to face only im in nashville,Tn make me a offer thanks r.james millersville fire dept.

SO YOUR TELLING ME A 270,260 ETC IS THE SAME AS A 7MM WSM ? YOUR CRAZY THE BALISTICS OF A 7MM WSM IS FAR MORE HIGHER THAN ANY OF THESE I STATED I GUARANTEE YOU IF YOU SHOOT ALL OF THESE AND THEN SHOOT MY 7MM WSM YOU WILL KNOW IT!!! you mentioned caliber, not ballistics, performace, recoil, etc. The cartridges are different, but the actual bullet size is very similar. 7 mmWSM is .284 caliber,a 30.06 is a .308 caliber(obviously lareger than 7mmWSM) and a 280 is a .280 caliber(just Barely smaller than a 7mmWSM) . If you want a noticably smaller calliber, try the .260 or a .257, .243, 25.06 or something along those lines. You mentioned smaller caliber when you should have mentioned less kick/recoil/energy, or something along those lines. The people on here are pretty knowledgable when it comes to cartridge sizes, ballistics, ballistic energies, etc. So, if you dont get the answer you want, instead of making a smarta$$ reply, maybe you should re-read your question to make sure what you are saying makes sense at all.
