Ooops! That would probably help would'nt it?

I wound up picking the .270 Winchester. I figured the availability of factory ammo was probably only second to the .30-06 and if I like how the rifle shoots, it would do anything the .30-06 or .25-06 could do.
One of the .30-06's I have was passed down to me from my dad so it only sees "fair weather" hunting. I will probably sell the other 06 and pick up a .243 or .308 for my son's first dedicated deer rifle.
