Default New Haven .22

What can you guys tell me about this .22. My buddy was looking through his collection and came across this .22 that I'd never seen before.

It shouldered real nice and has a beautiful orangy stock. I told him that I'd be interested in buying it but I don't think he'll sell it.

It just felt like a really nice .22.

Can somebody fill me in on the history of this gun? Is it still manufactured? What did it approx. sell for? etc....

Thanks

Tom

New haven was a store brand that was manufactured by 1 of following companies and usually was cheaper versions of them but still decent shooters. mossberg, marlin, savage

Swamp,

The New Haven .22.

SB,

Thanks for the info. That's a pretty decent list of manufacturers! I was really impressed by this little rifle. I really liked the wood on the stock. I'd like to get to shoot that .22. I will likely have an opportunity to do that this weekend. I'm heading up north.

Anybody have any ideas of what the New Havens went for new? What one might be worth today? Any idea of how accurate they are? Quality of the barrels?

Tom

Swamp,

The New Haven .22.
stat the way your post started out the whole thing kinda came off as incomplete.... almost as if there was an attachment that didn't stick or something. New Haven makes me think of one manufacturer in particular.... no need to guess at that one......sorry for the mix up. Good luck!
