New Deer Hunting Pistol 7mm-08

Looking for some opinions on a new pistol for deer hunting .
I want one in 7mm-08 cal. Single shot ?
I just sold my Savage stricker and want to try something different .
I was thinking of a T/C Encore with a 15" barrel in 7mm-08 cal.
Any other ideas ??? Or recomendations ...???

I went through the handgung hunting stage. Had a TC Encore with three 15" barrels. All 15" barrels. 7mmbr,7mm-08 and a 35 Whelen barrels. All barrels was very accurate. The 35 Whelen was a handfull shooting a 250gr. a 2100fps. The 7mm-08 and the 7mmbr was a pleasure to shoot.

Is there a reason you dont have it now ???

Sold it to one of my hunting partner who broke his neck a couple yrs. ago. He was imterested in it. Took the money and bought a rifle and scope. We hunt the wheat and CRP fields. So I needed to entend the range.

Once in awhile you can find Lone Eagle handguns by Magnum Research for sale at a good price, the trigger on them is not the best but the price reflects it.
I have several, the largest in 308, very accurate handguns

try the encore in a 260rem. I had one with a 15'' custom bullberry barrel, then sold the barrel when i wasn't using it anymore. It shot great. With a little less muzzle energy (only slightly less) than a 7mm-08 it makes a sweet shooting handgun.
The 7mm-08 is a good one too though, almost the same ballistics as a 260rem.
The good thing about the encore is that with the intro of the Pro-hunter, alot of used encore frames are popping up, and if you find one cheap you can splurge on a good barrel and scope.

I have the contender in 44mag and 223... I like them, but have not fired them at local game yet..

I have a Pro Hunter in the 7mm-08. I love shooting it. More accurate than I can shoot it from anything but the vice. Cant get enough of shooting it. Wears a VX-III pistol scope.

Weatherby makes a pistol in 7mm-08.
