Default 270 Managed Recoil

What are your thoughts on this round? Accuracy, on game performance out to 100 yds.

Thanks for the input.

You'll have to try some in your rifle to see for yourself. Evey gun is different. Good Luck

I agree.... every rifle is different you can't tell how it will shoot by reccommendations from other guys. I wish it was available about 5 years ago. I had a 270 that kicked like a mule. I had others that were very tolerable. The .270 isn't considered a high recoil round.

It turns a .270 into a 30-30. Great for deer inside 200 yards.

my .30-30 kicks harder than my .270, though years ago as a boy, that .270 scared me. I think managed recoil was designed more so for kids hunting with dad's rifle, when that .270 .30-06 is too much for that 5' 100 lb kid.

Might be nice for coyotes as well....100gr bullets....

Mediocrity has killed a lot of deer over the years.

I understand each rifle has a being unto itself. I was looking for personal experiences with the round.

Thanks,

I have down loaded a few 270's over the years. The cartridge handled the download very well. I will admit that I have not used the factory downloads, but I am sure they would do well.

If it is bullet performance you are worried about, then I would not worry. We had great bullet performance on the rounds that we down loaded. We mostly down loaded 130 grain Sierra's. Tom.
