Default Have you heard of....

Has anyone ever heard of a Sako Tika All Weather Rem. 280?

How does it hold up against others in it's class (price range)?

Sako Tikka? Sako makes Tikka. Sako is a better gun but Tikkas are also good guns. I have a Tikka T3 Lite Stainless in 300 WSM.

They hold up very well. .280 is a fine cartridge.

The reason is a guy I know has one that he won and it's never been shot, still in the box. He wants 400 for it is that a good price?

I'm a first time gun buyer, by the way.

I would say its a decent price for one. A new Tikka T3 Hunter (blued and wood stock is running around $5000 and my Tikka T3 Lite Stainless (Synthetic stock and stainless) was just over $600 new. I would get it.
