Default What Do You Use A 410 for?

I have a 410 single shotshotgun that hasn't been shot for 15 years. I bought it for my boy when he was young. He only shoots a 12 now. Does this gun have some use that I'm missing? I was thinking about giving it to some kid that could use it, but if there is an effective use for it, I'd rather keep it. Any help?

Thanks Bryan

In this part of the country, thesingle shot.410 is a rattlesnake's worst nightmare. I have 3 snake charmers that I have in various pieces of equipment on the ranch......of course an old shovel handle works as well in a pinch.

One of the best uses for a .410 i ever saw, was to take it "halibut" fishing. A .410 seemed to be the best medicine i ever saw for big fish, before muscleing them aboard!

You have to shoot them when there head is just under the water, and then it really did the trick.

If you ever decide to get rid of it, I would be interested in taking it off your hands.

Keep it for your grandson...My first gun was also a singleshot .410...I killed a truckload of squirrels with that gun, I'll never get rid of it...

You could turn it into a brush gun for wounded deer shooting slugs.
