Default Cleaning a gun w/muzzle break

I have a 30-06 with a muzzle break and whenever i clean it my bore brush gets stuck in the muzzle break. Has this happened to anyone else and do you have any solutions?

Can you take the brake off. Unless it is pinned or isactuallymade from the barrel itselfyou should be able to just unscrew it. It may be tight and you might need to put a steel rod or punchthrough the holes to get some leaverage but it should unscrew from the barrel.

In which direction is the brush getting stuck push or return? YOu should push the brush out and then unscrew the brush and do it that way. It's better for the crown anyway.

The brush gets stuck on the return(when i pull it out).
And my muzzle break is "fused" to the barrel. I use to be able to turn it on and off but since i've never turned it off its kinda stuck/molded in that spot.

Only go one way through the barrel with your brush.

Just push the brush thru the bore and unscrew it and restart. It's a pain but it is much better for the crown and that chamfer.

Have you ever tried using penetrating oil to loosen that muzzle brake...?
