Default Ruger vs Taurus

Ok I am debating on which revolver to get. Ruger GP100 or Taurus model 66 or Taurus tracker. Before I even go to check and see which one feels good I wanted to get any opinions you guys may have on these. Thanks.
Caliber will be 357 mag in the 6" barrel model.

Both Taurus and Ruger are both well made guns.Taurus has a lifetime warranty ,where Ruger has a service policy.I've never paid for a Ruger repair and I've had many Ruger's over the years. My opinion the Ruger will withstand more of 357 mags being fired then the Taurus. Taurus is Made in Brazil where the Ruger is Made in the USA.I buy American Made when ever possible.Nowdays that's not easy to do.Either you buy will be a good choice.Of course my choice would have to be the Ruger.

I have owned both and even though I didn't really have any complaints about the Taurus, I like the Ruger better.
Just my 2 cents.

GP-100, had one awhile back. That will be my next wheel gun purchase, unless I find a good deal on a Redhawk first.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Soark, I knew you were coming around. You've really surprised me lately. It's a shame Bill Ruger can't hear a remington man talking this way. Miracles do happen.LOL.

Really boils down to a question of finance more than anything. Both are excellent and very servicable handguns with the higher priced Ruger being a bit more refined. Personally I shoot a Taurus but I still have my eye out for a Ruger Redhawk in 357 Mag. I had a chance to shoot one while working at a range in Montana and it had to be the sweetest shooting handgun ever.

i own a 6&quot; stainless steel gp-100 full underlug and its a pretty sweet thing. no real problems with it and with a 2 thousand dryfires and some replacement springs from wolff www.gunsprings.com the springs a tremedous help in dropping the trigger pull. i put in the lightest springs from the gp-100 shooters pack and now i have a SA trigger pull of 3lbs and a DA of 6. now thats nice. they arent hard to install either. did it the second time i took the gun apart.
