Default My Plinker

Here is a pic of my 22lr plinker. It is a Browning Buckmark with a variable red / green dot scope. My wife and I really enjoy shooting this gun at paper targets. I am thinking about ordering a custom barrel from Tactical Solutions. Maybe a 7 or 10 inch in color with grips to match. Any comments?

Dean, nice looking .22 you have, there's nothing like spending an afternoon plinking with a .22. With the high prices of CF ammo, the .22LR's are still cheap to shoot and practice with and also a great way to get your spouse and childreninto the shooting sports.

Try using the image code, it's the one on the bottom just right of the picture.Just click on it to copy and paste it here. I have found in some sites you have to change the to lower case as in to get the picture to appear. Let's try it..............

3 guns I highly regret selling. My Browning Hi Power, my AMT 22 Automag semi auto 22 mag pistol and my Browning Buckmark. Although I propably would have lost the Buckmark in the divorce, my Ex liked it too.

got the same pistol. great little shooter. i also shoot minimags out of it usually, though it feeds and shoots most anything, i found that the minimags in the blowback design are just a bit better...

hows that scope mount work?? i know to clean it, i take the screws out of where your base would be and remove the slide and all that fun stuff to clean it..just curious...if you take it off to clean, does it throw of the scope?? always thought a red dot would be nice on it, but couldnt figure out a way to do it....

mauser, I have yet to clean the Buckmark. Of course I'll have to take off the red dot scope...and then resight it. It is a fun gun, and a whole lot of fun to shoot. I would recommend a 22 Buckmark for everyone.

never cleaned it!?!?! how long have you had it?? how many rounds would you say are through it!? thats just amazing to me lol...i never had real troubles with mine, but notice when its definently needs a cleaning when it starts to have troubles feeding...either gums up from shooting cheap ammo, or the feed ramp gets leaded up, when shooting cheap ammo...still usually clean it every time i shoot it....just a habit i got from dad i guess....

It is definitely due for a good cleaning. I'm gonna do that this evening. I've probably put 6 or 7 hundred rounds thru the gun.

I've got it broke down, but realized that I don't have any oil. Can I use Castrol Syntec instead of regular gun oil?

I'd advise against the castrol. If its necessary most walmarts or the like have gun oil and are open almost always. Otherwise leave her apart over night and pick up a can tomorrow.
