Default .35 Remington

I just picked up a Reminton model 600 in .35 Rem and was wondering what the max range would be in this caliber.According to the ballistics 200 yards seems to be the limit. Also id like to know what you guys are shooting for factory loads before i head to the range. Thanks for any help.

That cartridge should be quite effective up to 200 yards, as you surmised. In addition, you have a very nice rifle there, as well as a good chambering. I can't help with factory ammo, as I just shoot handloads in mine. The .35 Rem. is a perfect round for use with cast bullets, (RCBS 200-grain flatnose) as you can shoot them at the same or higher velocities than you get from factory loads with jacketed bullets of the same weight!

The guys i hunt with have a few pump guns in 35 Rem. Some of them shoot Remignton Core Lokt and the rest shoot Hornays.

You robbed that thing. Nice caliber too. The Long Eagle pistolI have is chambered for the 35 Rem, it kills deer just fine. The Remington 150 grainers shoot great in this pistol.

Are you sure its a 35 Rem.
The only 35 that I know the 600 or 660 was made in was the 358 Rem Mag, a very different thing from a regular 35 Rem

Absolutlely positive its a .35 Rem.Go to remingtons website under firearms model history and look under model 600 carbine. The carbine was never chambered in .358.The only other 35 it was chambered in was .350 Rem Mag.

You got a super nice gun right there and STOLE it! I have one in 350 Rem Mag and love that gun. In those days it was the ugly stepchild that no one liked. The plastic vent rib and the dog leg bolt handle.I can remember as a kid always having a thing for that laminated stock. I have a 35 Rem 336 lever action that I carry elk hunting.200 gr RN bullets are THUMPERS!I read somewhere where the new age wants all the super magnums, the hunters with meat in thier freezers carry a 35 Rem.

300 yds looks very doable with hornady's ammo(-17.5"), at 200 you could point and shoot.
