Out of 2.75 or 3in shells a 3in Sabot Slug is the worst but 3.5in 2.14oz Turkey loads are the worst recoiling ive shot. I did happen ot find some 3.5in slugs i wanna try though.

Turkey or goose loads. They hold twice the payload of any other shell, including most slugs. I have fired a lot of different slugs and hunting loads and a 3 inch magnum turkey load with 2 ounces of shot is by far the hardest kicking shell I have fired. Other than a 3 1/2 inch magnum turkey load.
My opinion anyway.

No, you're correct Paul. Turkey loads are by far the most brutal load that most people will shoot. Take a look at this chart. It lists recoil by caliber. Look at the calibers that have less recoil than a turkey load. Only the bggest of cartridges will have more recoil than a turkey load. Think Elephant guns.
how do 3 inch or 2.75 inch turkey loads do on tht chart?
Unfortunately, it doesn't list the 2.75 and 3" turkey loads. Only the 3.5" turkey load. The 3.5" turkey load that they tested has more recoil energy than a .458 Win. Mag. and a .458 Win. Mag. is one helluva cartridge!
