Default thumbhole stocks being accurate

Howdy
and thanks in advance for any help.

Are thumbhole stocks more accurate than the regular stock that a rifle comes out with? I'm thinking of buying a H&R Ultra Slug Gun and I see it is now available with a thumbhole stock.

Thanks
Dan

Nope. Thumbhole's got nothing to do with accuracy. The accuracy is in the bedding and the gun and the ammo...assuming all shooters are equal.

The reason I choose not to go with the thubmhole stock on mine was because it didn't feel right on a hunting rifle. like stated if it was installed properly I can't see where it would make much difference in the rifles accuracy, all in the feel of it.

Its more comfortable when shooting from abench to use a Thumbhole Stock for some people. I wouldnt want one on any gun with a hammer i have to cock or de-cock because it would get in the way of my thumb reaching the hammer.

I've got thumbhole stocks on my 870 slug gun and my Knight ML, absolutely love them. They certainly aren't any more 'acurate', but I find them much more comfortable to shoot during deer season, especially with gloves on and after I've been freezing my tush off on stand for awhile.

I only have one thumbhole stock, and it is not my cup of tea.
