Default Just ordered my Tikka

Canot wait to get it, Ordered a .300 win mag Stainless Synthetic Whitetail Hunter.

Have heard non stop about the accuracy and needed to get some sort of all weather gun. my other one (a .280) is blued and wood stock, did not want to take it out in woods too much in real rainy weather.

Decided on .300 as I wanted somethign a little more substanital for possible trips to Alaska etc.

Would love any input on others using the Tikka.

Enjoy it,I've heard allot of good about Tikka's. I have never owned or shot one though.I looked at one at a Bass Pro shop. I was impressed with it,but I ended up with a Win Mod 70 "Coyote"instead. Good luck with it.

congrats on your new toy ! i have been waiting since november on my new browning BAR. i was told it would be in by jan. now i find out from their browning rep that it has not even come into production <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
you have two of the best rounds IMHO.
even though i have owned two 280rem's i am still kicking myself in the butt for getting rid of them.

Can't go wrong with the Tikka, I have a LH Tikka in .308, shoots great and a crisp trigger. Now if I could only find another magazine for it.

The magazines are easy to find, just super expensive.

I've got a .223, .243, and a .308 Tikka and love them all. I also won a new heavy barrel Tikka .223! Although I plan to sell it.

Sorry, I had no choice. I was given a right handed model. It's a very neat looking rifle. It's not the Continental, it's the tactical/varmint with the adjustable stock and accessory rails.

Diy....my point exactly, I have seen them around but haven't found a magazine for less than $53 for a 3 shot and $59 for a 5 shot. Don't really need it until this fall but can't hurt to look now. Maybe at the gunshow this weekend I'll find one.
