Default Rem 700 Trigger, no screw coatings

i pulled the stock off of my Rem 700 to start a cleaning and when i looked at the trigger there were no coatings over any of the screws. I'm fairly certain that I have read in the past where Remington puts a sealant or coating of some kind on the trigger screws so that they can tell if the trigger has been messed with, but mine doesnt have anything like that. Just clean untouched screws. Im just wondering because if something goes wrong at any point, i wouldnt want remington to void the warranty because no coating is over the screws even though its a brand new rifle and the trigger has never been adjusted. Did anybody elses trigger come clean from the factory with nothing covering the screws, or did I misread something somewhere and now I'm being paranoid?

Default RE: Rem 700 Trigger, no screw coatings

Last 2 have had a very clear coating on the screws. It is possible that your gun didn't come from the factory without it. If the trigger has been set to a lower poundage and for whatever reason you send it back to the Remington Service Center in NY..they will take the trigger out and replace it with another heavier trigger and charge you accordingly. They will not void the warranty. If you send it to other service centers and as long as it is set to safe weights they will ignore it. That has been my experience. If it really bothers you call them on the 800 number and see what they have to say..they may tell you to send it in and fix it to CTA.
