Default Scopes?

We all know that every manufacturer of any product have their own little sales gimmicks."Mine is better than yours" kinda like some of the people on this forum.( Dayum I shouldn't a said thatOPEN HOUSE ON SWAMPDOG)anyhoo Some claim their "Ruby Red" lens are the best. But has anybody ever noticed that while if you look across the objective len usually they will have a redish ,green ,or blue kind of tint if you catch them in the light just right? This is just a personal observation,But for the most part I think the ones with the "Green" tint are usually a better scope ,have more clarity and seem to gather light better.I might just be getting "oldtimers" but the first thing I do is look for the lens color green being the best ,red next and the ones with the blue tint usually don't cut the mustard. My dumas has actually gotten sobad about thisthat Iwill only buy a scope with the green tint.Except for the occasional Elcheapo just to put something on a new rifle just so I can go shoot it without changing from another gun.
