Smith & Wesson M&P 45 Opinions

Anyone have any experience with this gun, or talked with anyone who has? Just wanted to see what some of you thought about this pistol, because I'm thinking about buying one before the end of the month. Smith & Wesson has a rebate right now for $50 off plus two free magazines (about an $80 value), and it's only good for guns purchased before 1/31. I've held the M&P 45 at the gun store and it felt great in my hand, but I haven't had the opportunity to shoot it. I also liked the XD 45, but I decided my hands are too small for the Glock 21. Thanks in advance for the input.

I love XD, however when i bought mine i looked at the S&W. the one thing i noticed was the heavy trigger pull. You may want to check that out.

I have been thinking about getting one myself. However I wanted to get a 40 S&W. Is there a rebate on the 40 S&W also?? Tom.

I looked at the m&p before I bought my xd. If I remember correctly, it is a dao gun. I prefer a single action and chose the xd out of the group that I was considering.
