Default What does "barreled action" refer to?

What exactly does "barreled action" mean or refer to? is it like the action and barrel as a whole? does that mean it isnt free floated??

I've never heard the term used to mean anything but a barrel screwed into an action. Ready to startfitting into your stock, assuming it's blued, etc.

I agree with Pavomesa, but I'll try to be a little more complete in the answer. It is the metal parts of a rifle. Action, bolt assembly, barrel (already screwed in and headspaced),trigger, trigger guard and magazine parts. Basically everything but the stock. Hope this helps
