Default New Gun Advice

My Birthday is coming up, and the wife asked what I wanted. I told her a new gun. She said my price limit was $200. I wanted an sks, but the price went up at the local shop. I am looking for a gun just for plinking, preferably a semi-auto. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

.22

Or maybe try something used.

Not semi-auto but you may want to consider a Swiss 7.5x55 but the ammo can be quite expensive if you don't reload. Other than that your budget is a bit restrictive.

I have plenty of .22's. My local shop had the SKS's i wanted for $170, but he bumped the price up $90 for some reason. I was really hoping to get it, so now I'm in a jamb.

JUst a thought...are you tied hard to that $200 figure, or could you use it and a little green of your own to move up some?

Sorry. After re-reading your post, I guess it was your $200 after all....... I first thought she was giving you the $200. Yeah........
