No bigger animal, get a bigger gun if you want to shoot bigger animals, imo.

Well, I know people that have taken several Elk with a 22-250 using Speer 70 grain semi spitzers.

If you have the intention of using a 22-250 as an "all around" caliber, I would recommend you look into something larger.

I wouldn't want to go Elk hunting with one. However for deer I think it would work if you picked your shots carefully and used the proper bullet. Wouldn't be my first choice but if it was the only gun I had I bet I could kill deer with it. As long it's legal in your state, many states will not allow .22 caliber rifles for big game hunting.

I would think it would work on a pronghorn as well.

Like I said, I wouldn't run right out and get one to deer hunt with, but if it was all you had and couldn't afford anything else or borrow something bigger then it would work with proper shot placement.

My opinion anyway, and I am sure many would dissagree. This comes up quite a bit.

Paul

For deer I would step up to a 243win. and for elk 7mm08.
