Default Good find for me.

On the way home from our Xmas trip I stopped at Scheel All Sports in Fargo. I was kinda watching for a good used 22 Mag rifle. I found just what I wanted. Many years ago I had a Mossberg 640 K Chuckster. My father in law wanted it so bad that I finally sold it to him. After he passed away we could never figure out what happened to it. The one I found yestrerday is The Western Field. Its the same gun but was made for Wards by Mossy. They wanted about twice what I paid for that new one thirty years ago but I couldn't pass it up.

It fit in with my scalled back arsenal.

That was a good find for you James!

I love the 22 Win. mag. cartridge, i have a 597M and a Krieghoff 22 Win. Mag. insert bbl for my drilling.

For hunting, it's a great little round, and i don't have to pick up and reload the empties!

The last thing i shot with that insert bbl, was a coyote that thought he was hid. It was lights out for him!

I didn't mention that four had to go.. I did some trading. A Ipod? What can I kill with that?My wife wants one though. They are allowed to use them at work. Its a boring assemble type job.

What I have in mind is.

Browning 22 Pistol
10/22 rifle
22 Mag
270
308
45-07.
45 LC Buffalo Classic
NEF 44 Mag rifle with 357 barrel.
45-70 Buffalo Classic for BP competition.

That should cover the bases pretty well. I have a old Remington 541 (I think) its a LH bolt 22. I will

keep that one because the guy who had it before me messed up the stock. I have a couple Little Favorite 22 rifles that are saved for the Grandkids if their mom will let them have them. And then I havn't started on the handguns yet.

I have never caught the 17 HMR bug. Just as well because I had quite a few other bugs

That was a good find.

I love my640KD Chuckster 22 Win Mag. And I agree, with this rifle, I've never really been interested in a 17 HMR. I agree thatthat the 17HMR is indeedan accurate round, but for those of you who have shot a Chuckster I think you'll agree, it'll be tough to top it for accuracy.
