Which Barrels did you get with the gun and is it a Youth Gun or the regular full size gun?

I got the 3 barrel combo that came with 1 free Weaver scope mountand the gun has a .243 barrel, the 22LR barrel and the 20 Gauge shotgun barrel.Since my 2 Daughter'sare going to be using the gun I put a Tru-Glo Red Dot scope on the .243 barrel and I bought another Weaver mount and put another Tru-Glo Red Dot scope on the 22LR barrel, the 20 Gauge Shotgun has the gold color bead on the end of the barrel so I left it without any scope because it will be used for Turkey Season mostly.I let my Girls practice with the 22 LR & Red Dot scope for a while and will probably let them do a little squirrel hunting with it too, then I put the .243 barrel on and my oldest Daughter has been Deer Hunting with it.She shoot a nice Doe last year with it but missed a bigger Doe this past Youth Season because she got pretty nervous/shakes! [&:]

I think you could put a decent scope like a BSA,Bushnell or Leupold scope on one of them to hunt with?I've noticed several Hunting Shows that had Youths hunting on them and they were using Rossi guns with Leupold scopes. As my girls get older I may try a better scope but for right now I don't want them shooting far out at a deer and the Red Dot scopes are easier for them to see through and aim with.I have seen better Red Dot scopes that have 2 to 3 time magnification which would be even better yet,Millet has a more expensive and better quality Red Dot's and Tru-Glo has come out with a few more styles of Red Dot scopes too.

Sorry Hurley....I thought you were asking what kind of scope to put on Your Rossi? [&:][:@]

I just looked through the Rossi Site and they don't list any type of scope they put on their guns so I'm thinking it was Dealer installed.I searched several of their guns and accessories and no brand of scope was mentiond...just the Weaver brand scope mount that comes with most of their guns.

Here is their link if you want to see if I missed it some where?

i actually found out that either simmons or bushnell mak e them and they arent worth anything. they dont even put their name on it. probably because they dont want people to know that they made it.thanks for the reply and i prbably will put a new scope on it when i get the cash. i am partial to BSA. i have one on my .17HMR and love it.

My dad has a Rossi 223 with the scope it came with on it. It dosnt have a name on it but has worked well for a 223. I have a Simmons for it if that scope ever starts to give him problems but for now and the last 2 years it has worked well.
