Default Shot Gun Decision

I am trying to pick a semi auto 12 guage for my son.
I had almost decided on the Stoger 2000,but am concerned about some of the reports I've read. I am moving up the price scale and am considering three options. I am considering the Beretta 390,Franchi I-12 or the Remington 11-87.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

They are all good IMO just offer different benefits....I have shot the SX2, 935, Benellis, Beretta, and like them all for different reasons...

If I can get my hands on one, I'm going to get my wife a Remington SPR 453 as a trap gun. Failing that, I'm going to get her an 11-87.
