That's cheap most of them are more. They are more accurate usually though. Get a smooth bore barrel and the slugs will cost 50-60 cents a piece.

I too hate payin that much for a slug. I'm gonna try something else this year. Bit of reloading and casting but if it works it'll drop the price a whole lot.

Lee makes a slug mold. Buy a box of regular birdshot loads, Dump out the shot, cast shot into the slug, insert back into wad and crimp.

Lee is saying their slug mold is for rifled barrels. has a band that will engage the rifling. Here's a link to it at midwayusa. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=792313&t=11082005

Also look at the Buckhammer slugs, they shoot good in my gun and are a bit less than the rest of the sabot slugs.

It usually only takes me about 10 rounds to sight in for the first time then 4 to recheck every year. But i like to shoot atleast 20-30 rounds before every season with every gun im going to be hunting with to make sure im comfortable with it and that all the mounts are secure and all. Thats the expensive part.

that does ot sound bad retak when i got my 3030 it took me 30 to get it sighted in then when i laser checked it it was off then after 2 months and 100 rounds more i fund out the scope was a 22 scope and chunk

which in the case of the shotgun i will buy the barrelor gun new and buy a new scope

That sounds like my old 30-06 i got rid of. I could go sight it in and not touch the gun then go shoot the next day and it would be off about 8 in at 100 yards. We never figured out what was wrong with it but i traded it in on a Tikka. I wasted about 100 rounds a month on that 30-06 over about a 2 year period. It had 4 different scopes on it and 6 different sets of mounts and bases and never shot good. It was sent to Remington multiple times and they said everything was fine. When it was sighted in for that day it would shoot under 1 in the rest of the day.
