788 Magazines?

I was wondering if the .243, 7mm-08, and .308 mags. will interchange from caliber to caliber?I.E. can you use a .243 mag for .308 rounds? I think so, just want some of you guy's knowledge.I found a new in shrink wrap for a .243 for $40.00 factory rem.

Oh well came up dry.sold out again. These things are getting really hard to find.

I cant say for sure on the 788 but the clip for my .308 fits and feeds all 3. Based on that alone, Id say yes. Whats the return policy at the place that has it?

The .243, 7m-08, and .308 all fit the same...not sure about 6mm but pretty sure it will fit also

Check the firearms auction sites like gunbroker.com. There are 788 magazines listed there now, but they appear to be relatively pricey. You never know when you might stumble upon a good deal, though.

They are the same mags 243, 6mm, 7mm-08 and 308. I can get you one. Give me an e-mail if you want some help?

mike, the feed rails (lips) of a 6mm mag are different due to the different case temper, some smiths can make them work some cant. but someone makes 6mm clips sporaticly, I ordered 2 from numrich, were backordered and recieved them 2 months later. can still by the 308, 243, 7mm/08 mags over the counter around here.

Sportmans Guide magazine had a good deal on them last winter I remember seeing. They definately bring a big price tag at the gunshows around here.
