Default DPMS

My dad bought the Panther LR 308B in early November. Wow, what an awsome gun. He put an older scope on it but he is planning to put a new Burris on it soon. Have yall ever heard of them? Whats your thoughts?

Seems like a good gun, I've handled some at a Gander Mtn. near here. Pricey....I think they started out at 1200 there and went up....and I've read some reviews that had negative things to say about the triggers, but I liked what I saw. I'll probably pick one up down the road in .300 SAUM.

Last month, I finally talked myself into one of their 16" bull SS left-handed .223 uppers. So far I'm impressed. Shoots very well and after the first 50 shots or so, hardly coppers at all.

DPMS builds a superb factory AR type rifle. I have one, and would be hard pressed to trade it for anything except a HIGH $$$$ custom. Generally, they are not as pricy as Armalite, Colt, Rock RIver...etc.

good luck

I just bought an RR Entry Tactical for $880. The cheapest DPMS I saw was $800 (brother in law bought it). Shot them both, like them both, went with a RR because of peer pressure.

Both of my AR-15's were DPMS models. Nothing wrong with them, but I sold them looking for something different. I don't have any AR's right now, but I wouldn't mind having another one.

Just went out and shot 1 MOA groups with my 16" SS DPMS (1/8 twist) upper with stock RRA lower, so I seem to think they work decent...
