Default Considering a new Groundhog gun

and found this on gunbroker. Only kidding . I was under the impression the BDL series SS guns have been gone from production for several years. They certainly are not on the Remington Website. ANyway this is one caliber that has always intrigued me and it has the new Xmark pro trigger. HOw can this be? I am thinking Remington is clearing out their inventory and adding features like the new trigger to get rid of them. I may bid on this one. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=86908281

I think thats a little small for groundhogs. You shold be looking at 375 H&H or a 416 Rigby as a minimum. I think a 50 BMG would be just right for them though.

We shot a rabbit with a 338 Lapua once. It didnt do as much damage as i thought it was going to. It just had a dime sized hole through it.

to answer your question, yes you can kill a groundhog with muzzle blast alone.
