Default Henry Golden Boy?

My son likes the looks of them and wants one to plink with.So anyone shot one and whats the consensus? I did buy one and the action seems butter smooth to me,buckhorn sights are easy to find and sure is pretty! I bought it yesterday and took it my Dad and we took the wood off and he's going to put a simple diamond pattern on foreend and grip.Think it will be a good learner and potential handmedown? He already has access to Winchester 52B and 52C but he wants this as his own first 22.I went with the 22s/l/lr instead of the mag or 17hmr.

I have to agree with Hotled, the Henry is very smooth and accurate. I own a .44 Bigboy and love it forplinking and deer hunting and yes, they are heavy.

Sounds like I did well then! Weight isn't a problem...175 lbs. 5'10" senior can handle it!You should hear him moan when he hauls his deer rifle...Ruger varmint 243 with bipod! My dad started on the checkering today and it should add nice accent to the little gun.
