Default Swift

Has anyone heard/slash used Swift brand scopes? My buddy bought one, and it is extremely clear, and cheap. Its a3-9 40x, and he only paid $100 for it, I am so impressed by the clarity, and focus, but not sure how realiable its gonna be.

I believe they have 2 levels of them and the top level is supposed to be a good buy. I must have had the lower level and it came on a trade..It had clear enough optics but the wobbling eyepiece was a no no. That went to Ebay www.eabco.com is a dealer , they can probably tell you more

The upper level Premier, are excellent scopes. I personally have had no problem at all with the cheaper ones either. I have had two or three of each level. Our biggest dealer here sells truckloads of them and says he gets very few complaints.

I never used a Swift riflescope, but I have a Swift spotting scope that I've had for at least 30 years or so. It has the exchangeable screw-in eye pieces in 10X, 15X, 20X, 30X, and 45X. It is an excellent scope optically. I can see .22 holes with it in the 300-yard target, even those in the black. That's with the 30X eyepiece.

They're Korean made to US specs with US lenses. The warranty is that if yours goes bad, you take it back to where you bought it and they trade a new one for your old one. Swift has a great reputation for microscopes, binoculars and spotting scopes. Riflescopes are where the dubious reputation comes from.
