Default Youth Shotguns

Does Remington make a Youth 1100 or 11/87 for kids? Will be getting my boy into next year and am looking to some alternatives. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

They do or did. If not, just get a short barreled gun in 20 gauge and buy a cheap plastic stock and cut it down.
put skinny pad on it,as he/she grows, replace pad with thick 1,and when they outgrow that, they'll be ready for full size, all for 60 bucks over price of gun alone.

I know they make youth stocks for the 870 but i do not know about 1100 or 1187. You pick up a regular 870, and get the youth stock that you put the regular stock back on when he gets older.

Bought my daughter a Mossberg Model 500 Bantam in 20 gauge. Great gun for a starting hunter. I paid $229 at Gander Mt.
