what does AO mean and what does it give you good,bad??

AO means "adjustable objective", meaning the scope has a provision for correcting for parallax (keeps the reticle from appearing to move across the target when your eye moves back & forth behind the ocular lense) at various ranges...a good thing on any scope of over 6X or thereabouts, particularly on high mag. varmint or target scopes....impractical on a big game scope!!

AO's are needed on high powered varmit scopes or target scope. For a hunting rifle you couldn't give me a scope with an adjustable objective. More weight and one more thing for me to screw up and cost me a kill.

Sniper you can't adjust the AO fast enough to make a good hunting scope out of it in most situations thats the bad side of it . As elldeguello said on a target rifle you can't beat it . A way sharper image on the high powers
