Default need your help which model for hunting

OK guys i decided on a new Mossberg 500 new because i can get it for 50 bucks more then used and the 500 because it is a god gun for the money

OK i was thinking i would go with back synthetic which in the 500 everything is a mattblack finish the trigger safety and receiver and i think it would hide more while hunting for deer then the wood

OK for the wood i did to wont wood because i thought it was ugly but when i look at the dark stock of the 500 it looks good so i thought well maybe should get wood

but with the metal finish being gloss black i thought it would reflect light more and the trigger is gold and the receiver or bolt is like stainless

which should i get wood or the black synthetic if the camo does not cost to much more i will go that way but what about the wood and synthetic

Take it from me, the finish on the gun is not going to matter on your hunt. Pretty wood with shiny blued metal or matt finished total camo you will probably kill the same amount of deer. Movement is what gives you away.

I hunted turkey with a wood version 500 and turkey see much much better than deer do.

If you like synthetic over wood, get it, if not get the wood. I prefer wood myself. Don't spend the extra money on camo though because you simply don't need it. If anything it will just make it harder to find your gun if you lay it down in bad light. I set my bow down in the leaves once after getting down from my stand in the evening and had to turn my flashlight on to find it.

You are way over thinking this whole shotgun purchase thing. You are going to be stressed out before you even pull the trigger on an animal.

Any of them will work. The gloss blue and stainless bolt dosnt make a major difference in the woods. I prefer the synthetic for hunting incase your weapon gets wet but if its just a shooting gun and you only hunt with it rarelyi like the look ofthe wood stock.

And actually as far as sitting in the woods with a gun the wood version would be better than the all black because the wood peices would break up the shape better than an all black gun.
