Save you money, go to Walmart and buy a Maverick. It's pretty much the same gun, made by Mossberg and accepts any accessory for the 500.

The Mosberg 500 is cheap, cheap, cheap and as with most hunting accessories..... you get what you pay for. IF you're going to be hunting with a firearm, hunt with a quality model. My best suggestion would be to make the investment of a T/C Encore! Shoot the best you can afford and surely you can afford more thana couple hundred dollars for a quality deer slayer that will last you a lifetime. Good luck and good huntin'

i have a mossberg 500 in 20 gauge with a fully rifled barrel and a barrel for doves, works great and have put in excess of 4000 rounds through it and havn't had a single part break on or in it yet.

i completley disagree with you, mossberg makes a very good shotgun and my dad has one and it is one of the best guns he has owned, and if the army uses it i am sure they are good guns
