Ideas for a Christmas present?

I'm looking to get a deer rifle fora Christmas present. I'm lookingfor a bolt action in the $300-$350 range. Does anyone have any good ideas? I'm up for any caliber and any make and model. I just need some help brainstorming. Thanks!

I would look for a good used one. There will be a lot of them available after deer season, and before Christmas. Tom.

Look at the Savage rifles in almost any caliber from .243 to .300 WSM. They are not the prettiest gun made but they shoot excellent.

savage 10/110, 11/111 or stevens model 200. The stevens is a savage action without the accu-trigger. If you look around you might find a remington 700 adl.
