I AM LOOKING FOR A GOOD DEER RIFLE FOR MY HUSBAND, WE HIT SOME HARD TIMES THIS PAST SUMMER, AND HE HAD TO PAWN HIS AND NEVER GOT IT BACK. I WANT TO SURPRISE HIM WITH A NEW GUN FOR THIS HUNTING SEASON. I HAVE NO MODEL PREFERENCE I JUST WANT SOMETHING THAT WILL BRING A DEER DOWN. LOOKING TO SPEND ABOUT $250 OR LESS. THANKS ALOT.

Best way is to visit local pawn shops,wal-mart,or buy him a N E F/H&R handi rifle. Accurate,choice of calibers,low price.

Wal-Mart has Mossberg ATR 100 in 30 06 or 270 Price new is $249.00 feels like good rifle and the Mgr @ Wal-Mart says they have sold a lot and people like them.
