Default vanguard trigger adjustment

I won a weatherby vanguard .30/06 at a raffle and put a Zeiss Conquest 3 x 9 scope on it. The only thing I don't like about it is the trigger I would like to lighten it up a little. Does the vanguard come with an adjustable trigger or does it need to be filed? We've lightened a few triggers on other guns by filing them slightly but I perfer not to if we don't have to. I don't have the gun here to look at it right now it is at a buddies house. He said it is very accurate though the trigger is just a little heavy.

Default RE: vanguard trigger adjustment

I looked up the weatherby website and it looks like the Vanguard comes from the factory with an adjustable trigger. It looks like this weekend we'll be shooting it and getting everything adjusted.

I adjusted my Weatherby Vanguard down to 3lbs. and still had creep in the trigger! I picked up a Timney and put it on and now it's prefect, well worth the $85.00...
