Default Selling guns to private parties in Minnesota???

OK, this is a dumb question. I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything (does the search actually work on here?).

If I wanted to sell a rifle (Remington .270, bought new last year) toa private party, what would I do? Just take the money? Is there any paperwork???? Silly, but nobody seems to know.

Thanks in advance.

As far as federal law,a private party MAY sell to another individual without any paperwork. Your state and/or local laws may say different however. 1 thing I ALWAYS do regardless on ANY used firearm however is run the serial # to insure it's not "hot".
