Default TIKKA RIFLE

I am going to buy a new .223 Remington for ground hog hunting. I am looking for a truck gun that can take a bit of a beating. I have been looking at the Tikka web site, and unfortunately for me the site is a bit vague. It appears Tikka makes a Left Hand Varminter model with a heavy barrel in .223 Remington. The problem is I can not find anyone who handles the HB. I have been able to find the "light" model's, but not the HB. Do they make an HB?? Does anyone know where I might find one?? I prefer the HB. I am going to put a can on it, and IMO the HB is stronger?? Thanks, Tom.

You try Beretta's site? Since they are the ones that import the rifles to the US.

Here's Tikka's site, which you've been too;
http://www.tikka.fi/

And here's Beretta's site for the Tikka rifles available here;
http://www.berettausa.com/product/rifles/series_page.cfm?currentseries=38

Good luck in any case, I'd like to get one of these myself, stainless, great 'truck' rifle that lives behind the seat, gotta love those removable mags.

Tom,

I've never owned a Tikka before but I've fondled a few at the store. I wouldn't call that a beater gun by any stretch. Even the magazine is plastic. I could be wrong.

If you're after a beater gun, I'd look for something used. No sense in trashing a brand new rifle.

My Glocks have never had any problems, so I don't forsee any problems with a Tikka.

If you go here: http://www.tikka.fi/ enter the site, and select either the "Varmint", "Varmint Stainless", or "Super Varmint" you will see they arein factheavy barrel guns. A quick search on gunsamerica turned up this: http://www.gunsamerica.com/976595726/Guns/Rifles/Tikka-Rifles/Tikka_T3_Varmint_Stainless_223.htm
