Default help with a win. model 70

I bought a winchester model 70 in 270 wsm about 2 years ago. I was in a hurry the dayI got it and did not look at the gun close at the store. When I got home and had time to look I saw some things I did not like called the store and of coarse they would not take it back... I stuck it in the safe and left it. I got it out to clean it and thought I should hunt with it this year. This is the first composite stoked gun I have ever owned, when I looked to see if barrel was free floating it was not. It is tight to the stock right from the end of the for-end.. So my question is will this hurt the accuracy being it's composite?

Shoot it. Then you'll know. Some guns shoot better than way some don't.
