I have found that anything from Corbon groups well out of my .44mags. The down side is most of there stuff is pretty stout, but that's what you want when hunting no? I'm sure they will have an weight you will like.

Not to be a wise guy but are you sure it's the gun/load and not the shooter? Where are the shots going? Low? Right? Left? Try a search in some of the diff forum on SBH loads and it'll be quicker than waiting for the info to come to you.

If you don't reload, buy 1 box of every different load you can find, shoot from dead solid rest, compare groups.
If you do reload then try about all the different combos same as above. H110 is my "go to" powder for full house magnum handgun loads. There are plenty of other powders out there and I've tried most of them but H110 can't be beat in my book. I'm sure it's not the revolver's fault as I've never seen a truly bad ruger yet.

Funny you should mention loads for the 44mag!, Ive spent several hours today working up some different loads!. My best results came with 14gr of Blue Dot, Winchester cases, primers, and 240gr hsp bullits, cornographed consistant 1320s fps and 3" groups at 25yds out of a Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 7.5" barrel. Looks like Ive found another powder to keep on hand, second best was with H110 but you use a conciderable more amount of powder with a little less accuracy, kept getting flyers and group size opened up to around 5", I would imagine that the H 110 would work better on a longer barrel than what I have.

Devildog,my old load for my .44s with H110 would group into 1.5" at 50 yards from bench. I have to admit however that I had given my own personal guns the full house accurizing treatment. This was especially memorable because a "S & W snob" was here bragging about s&w and badmouthing rugers. The groups I could get out of it ran from 1.4-2". Need I say more other than how quick his face changed? By the way,1 week later he ordered a ruger from me and stated he didn't even want to see it until I accurized it. Blue dot has always seemed to burn dirty as all the dot powders.

What load did you use and what length barrel, I never could come up with a H110 load that shot well!, I will agrea that Blue Dot is a little dirtier but I can make them shoot. Im sure if I shot from a bench it would probably shrink the group size, but I would still have the problem with the flyer!. My pistol is also accurized, trigger job, barrel setback, chamfered and recrowned barrel, and resighted!, I just think H110 is too slow for my set-up, or I need to change components and have not come up with it yet!.
