Default Old paper 16 gauge ammo

I have a friend that has a bunch of 16 gauge paper shells from winchester western all in their original boxes any idea what they are worth?

It really depends on what condition the boxes are in and how old they are. If they are 2 piece boxes they are worth 3 to 4 times as much as the 1 peice boxes. A nice 1 piece box with shells is worth$20.00 - $75.00 depending on the box. I have seen some 2 piece boxes on ebay over $500.00 and that is usually without shells. It is against ebays rules to sell ammunition even if it is collectable, but I have occasionally bought boxes and got the guy to send the shells if they are in the box.

Thanks for the response on this. These are almost mint boxes they are all 1 piece and he is using them to shoot blackbirds and such. I told him they were worth more than if he bought new shells. I plan to buy a few boxes as I love these old shells.
